THE PERCEPTUM GROUP ENROLMENT AGREEMENT

Academic Year 2027

1. ABOUT THIS AGREEMENT

This Enrolment Agreement sets out the terms governing enrolment in classes and use of services provided by the Perceptum Group.

The Perceptum Group comprises entities operating under the following names:

  • Perceptum Education Pte. Ltd.

  • Scienstien Pte. Ltd.

  • Perceptum Pte. Ltd.

  • Perceptum Maths Pte. Ltd.

  • Perceptum Education (Secondary) Pte. Ltd.

  • Perceptum Academy

The legal entity providing and billing for a particular course will be the entity stated on the relevant invoice or receipt. References in this Agreement to “Perceptum”, “we”, “us” or “our” refer to that entity and, where appropriate, the Perceptum Group collectively.

Where a student is below 18 years of age, this Agreement is entered into by the student’s parent or legal guardian on the student’s behalf. Where the student is 18 years of age or older, the student may enter into this Agreement directly.

In this Agreement, “you” refers to the person entering into the Agreement and, where applicable, the enrolled student.

By submitting an enrolment or registration, making payment for classes, or continuing to attend our classes or use our services, you agree to these terms.

2. COURSE FEES FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2027

From Academic Year 2027, tuition fees will increase by $5 per lesson.

The fees for a standard term of 8 lessons will be:

  • P3 classes: $360, excluding GST

  • P4 classes: $440, excluding GST

  • P5 to S2 classes: $560, excluding GST

  • S3 and S4 classes: $600, excluding GST

  • JC classes: $720, excluding GST

GST will be charged at the prevailing rate.

There are no registration, deposit or materials fees for our regular classes unless otherwise stated for a particular programme.

Students who enrol after a term has started will have their fees pro-rated according to the number of chargeable lessons remaining.

Students who enrol during the final 4 weeks of a term may be billed for both the remaining lessons in the current term and the following term.

Perceptum may revise its fees from time to time. Any change in tuition fees will be communicated before it takes effect and will not retrospectively change fees already paid for completed lessons.

3. PAYMENT AND CONFIRMATION OF ENROLMENT

Fees must be paid by the due date stated on the invoice or payment notice.

Payment may be made by:

  • PayNow

  • Direct bank transfer

  • Cheque

Over-the-counter bank deposits are not accepted.

Please make separate payments where invoices are issued by different Perceptum entities or for different subjects, unless otherwise advised.

6. CLASS ARRANGEMENTS

Perceptum may make reasonable changes to class arrangements where necessary for educational, staffing, operational or other practical reasons.

These changes may include:

  • changing the teacher;

  • changing the classroom or centre;

  • changing the lesson schedule;

  • combining, transferring or reorganising classes; or

  • conducting a lesson online instead of on-site.

We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes wherever practicable.

While we will consider students’ and parents’ preferences, enrolment does not guarantee a particular teacher, classroom, centre or lesson time.

If Perceptum permanently discontinues a class and is unable to offer a reasonable alternative, any prepaid fees for lessons that cannot be provided will be credited or refunded.

7. ATTENDANCE AND LESSON RECORDINGS

Where lesson recordings are provided for students who miss their scheduled lesson:

  • recordings are intended only for the enrolled student’s personal academic use;

  • recordings will normally remain available for 30 days from the date of the lesson; and

  • recordings must not be downloaded, copied, recorded, shared, published or distributed without Perceptum’s written permission.

Access to a lesson recording does not transfer any intellectual property rights to the student or parent.

8. PERCEPTUM ONLINE COMMUNITY

Perceptum’s online platforms, including Perceptum Heartbeat and any successor platform, may be used to provide:

  • lesson materials;

  • lesson recordings;

  • revision resources;

  • academic support;

  • announcements; and

  • other educational services.

Users are expected to communicate respectfully and use these platforms for their intended educational purposes.

Worksheets, videos, recordings, notes, questions, teaching materials and other content created or provided by Perceptum remain the intellectual property of Perceptum or the relevant rights holder.

Unless we have given written permission, such materials must not be reproduced, uploaded, shared, sold, distributed or made available to persons who are not enrolled students.

9. MATERIALS REQUESTS

Students may request replacement or previously issued materials only for lessons for which they were enrolled and for which the applicable fees have been paid.

Materials from a completed term will normally remain available for request for 60 days after the end of that term.

Requests may take up to 14 working days to process.

10. STUDENT CONDUCT AND POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR

Perceptum aims to maintain a learning environment that is respectful, responsible and safe.

Students must behave appropriately towards teachers, staff and other students and must not engage in behaviour that significantly disrupts lessons or affects the safety or well-being of others.

Where necessary, Perceptum may:

  • speak with the student or parent;

  • issue a warning;

  • require appropriate corrective action;

  • suspend the student from classes or services; or

  • terminate the student’s enrolment in cases of serious or repeated misconduct.

11. WITHDRAWALS AND REFUNDS

Requests to withdraw from a class must be submitted to Perceptum in writing.

Where a student withdraws after a term has started:

  1. One week’s written notice is required.

  2. A minimum charge equivalent to 4 lessons applies for that term.

  3. After the minimum charge and notice period have been taken into account, any remaining unused tuition fees will be calculated on a pro-rata basis.

  4. Any approved refund will normally be processed within 21 working days after the refundable amount has been confirmed.

Lessons falling within the notice period remain chargeable whether or not the student attends them.

Where Perceptum cancels lessons and does not provide a replacement lesson or reasonable alternative, the affected unused fees will be credited or refunded.

12. PUBLIC HOLIDAYS

Our public holiday arrangements are as follows:

No lesson and no lesson fee

  • New Year’s Day

  • Chinese New Year

  • Christmas Day

Online replacement lesson

  • Hari Raya Puasa

  • National Day

For these public holidays, the scheduled lesson will be replaced by an online lesson. The lesson remains part of the student’s paid programme.

Other public holidays

Classes will continue as scheduled on other public holidays unless Perceptum informs parents otherwise.

13. EDUCATIONAL OUTCOMES

Our teachers will provide instruction and academic support with reasonable care and professional effort.

Student progress, however, depends on many factors, including attendance, effort, completion of assigned work, prior knowledge and individual learning needs.

Perceptum therefore does not guarantee any particular examination result, school placement, grade or academic outcome.

14. DATA PROTECTION

Perceptum collects, uses and discloses personal data for purposes connected with enrolment, payment, administration, teaching, academic support, communication and the provision of our services.

Personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable Singapore data protection requirements and our Privacy Policy.

Our Privacy Policy is available at:

https://perceptumeducation.com/privacy-policy/

By providing personal data to Perceptum, you acknowledge that the data may be collected, used and disclosed for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy and for purposes reasonably necessary to provide our educational services.

Where consent is required for a particular use of personal data, we will obtain that consent as required.

15. COMMUNICATIONS

Important administrative communications may be sent through email, WhatsApp, SMS, our online platforms or other contact details provided during enrolment.

Parents and students are responsible for keeping their contact information reasonably up to date.

A notice sent to the latest contact information provided to Perceptum will be regarded as having been sent to the appropriate parent, guardian or student.

16. SUSPENSION OR TERMINATION OF ENROLMENT

Perceptum may suspend or terminate a student’s enrolment or access to our services where there is:

  • serious or repeated misconduct;

  • misuse of Perceptum’s materials or online platforms;

  • persistent non-payment of fees;

  • a serious breach of this Agreement; or

  • conduct that threatens the safety, welfare or reasonable learning experience of students or staff.

Where practicable and appropriate, Perceptum will contact the parent or student before terminating enrolment.

Any refund that may be due following termination will be determined in accordance with the applicable provisions of this Agreement.

17. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

Perceptum may update this Agreement where reasonably necessary to reflect changes in our programmes, operations, fees, policies or legal requirements.

Where a change materially affects an existing enrolment, we will provide reasonable notice before the change takes effect.

The version of the Agreement applicable to an enrolment will be the version in force when the relevant enrolment or renewal is confirmed, subject to any subsequent changes that have been properly communicated.

18. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

19. GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Singapore.

Any dispute arising from this Agreement will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

20. ACCEPTANCE

By submitting an enrolment or registration, making payment for the enrolled programme, or confirming continued enrolment, you confirm that you have read and agree to this Enrolment Agreement.
