Good teaching starts with teachers who care.

At Perceptum, we believe the most important quality in a teacher is a genuine care for students and their learning.

Our teachers bring strong subject knowledge and experience to the classroom, but good teaching is more than knowing the content. It means explaining clearly, noticing when a student is struggling, being patient enough to try another approach, and giving students the confidence to keep going.

We want our students to know that their teachers are on their side. Whether they need another explanation during class, extra academic support, or help when they get stuck during revision, our teachers are there to guide them.

Daniel Soh
Daniel Soh
Daniel is an experienced and outstanding teacher who is immensely popular with his students. He is talented with numbers and did his Masters in Finance after his degree in Mathematics and Finance. Equally adept at teaching both Primary and Secondary Math, Daniel enjoys enabling his students to make real-life connections between academic studies and life experiences. He believes that setting high expectations for his students is not only possible but positive.
Lim Ting Yang
Lim Ting Yang
Ting Yang is a highly experienced and skillful teacher. He holds a degree in Science from NUS and taught in a local MOE school before becoming a co-founder of Scienstien. Ting Yang is very passionate about teaching Science and uses a variety of tools to engage his students at their level to create real-world problems to critically consider, research, and solve using creative and collaborative skills. He loves being able to show how learning is a lifelong journey by cultivating curiosity and giving joy to the learning process.
Andrew Hoang
Andrew Hoang
Andrew loves Mathematics and wants to pass on his passion to all his students. Having graduated from NUS with a Bachelor’s degree in Science, majoring in Mathematics, Andrew is well-equipped with the knowledge and skills to engage his students. He is a dedicated, resourceful and goal-drive teacher with a solid commitment to the social and academic growth of every student. Outside of teaching and preparing for lessons, Andrew enjoys reading, playing badminton, and spending time with his family.
Choo Xing Yu
Choo Xing Yu
A psychologist by education, Xing Yu possesses an intricate understanding of both human behaviour and the human mind. He uses this knowledge to help his students by being more sensitive in tailoring to the individual needs of his students. After graduating from NUS and prior to joining us, Xing Yu taught Maths as a private tutor, from Primary to Secondary levels. Now, Xing Yu gets to help more students with his clear and engaging teaching style. In his free time, Xing Yu enjoys playing the guitar and computer games.
Leong Wen Ting

Given Wen Ting’s caring and approachable nature, it was not surprising that she chose to teach after completing her degree and graduate diploma in Psychology. Wen Ting teaches Science and loves fostering and nurturing curiosity in children. Her classroom is a place where students feel safe, eager to learn, and are willing to take academic risks. She finds the process of watching her students develop socially, emotionally, and academically, an incredibly rewarding experience. In her free time, Wen Ting enjoys handicraft and learns Korean.
Kuang Yuexin

Yuexin is a dedicated and passionate teacher who wants to nurture a lifelong love for learning in her students. A 1st class honours graduate in Mechanical Engineering from NTU, Yuexin has a unique ability to explain difficult math concepts through creative approaches. She is always patient and kind, and never hesitates to go the extra mile to help her students. Yuexin wants her students to dream big, stay positive, work hard, and enjoy the journey. In her free time, Yuexin loves watching movies and doing yoga.
Queenie Chong

A Science graduate from NTU, Queenie is a warm and caring teacher who wants all her students to be successful learners and works hard to create a classroom atmosphere that is stimulating, encouraging, and adaptive to varied learning needs. Watching her students overcome their fears, gain confidence, and develop their strengths in Mathematics, is one of the most rewarding experiences in her life. Aside from teaching, Queenie can be seen either with her piano or her novels.

Zul holds a degree in the Mathematics and loves to share his passion for the subject through engaging and meaningful lessons. Along with his innate ability to understand and motivate students, it is not surprising that he is very highly regarded by his students. As a teacher, Zul finds immense satisfaction in seeing his students learn in different ways, gain confidence and self-esteem. He wants to empower his students so that they become independent lifelong learners who are equipped to shape the future for themselves.

Mei Yen has more than a decade of classroom experience. With her wealth of knowledge, she is able to surface her students’ strengths and weaknesses, and thereby able to provide relevant and timely help. Students under her tutelage have, thus, benefited immensely. Mei Yen enjoys making deep connections with her students and brings cheer into the classroom. She believes that students learn more from fun and interactive lessons. Once students find joy in learning, they can build the confidence to tackle complex concepts.

Teck Deng is completing his Master of Life Sciences in Chemistry (NTU/NIE) and brings with him over eight years of tutoring experience, guiding students from secondary school to university level. In addition, his background as an analytical chemist brings real-world applications into lessons, helping students connect chemistry to everyday life. This unique blend of academic rigor and industry experience enables him to transform complex concepts into relatable examples, empowering students to excel. A passionate educator and lifelong learner, he is committed to nurturing scientific curiosity in every student.
Chen Yaqi

Yaqi is full of surprises and creativity – the right ingredients for a great Science teacher. She thinks that Science is amazing and is always excited to come up with new Science experiments to bring to her classroom. After studying Chemistry in NUS, Yaqi has been teaching in a local MOE school for more than 10 years. She finds it most rewarding when she sees the sparkle in her students’ eyes from their own learning and the new connections they have made.

With over two decades of experience in content development and student coaching, Teacher Rose has illuminated the path of mathematics for numerous students. Her teaching philosophy is encapsulated by the acronym SEED - Show, Engage, Explain, and Discover. Through these foundational pillars, Rose not only fosters a deep appreciation for math in her students but also hones their critical thinking skills, making the subject both challenging and enjoyable. In her previous roles, Rose has taken on responsibilities such as being the Head of Curriculum and Master Trainer. She has been pivotal in leading content development, undertaking revisions, and training coaches both on a local and international scale.
Agnes Toh

Agnes holds a Bachelor of Education from Monash University and has years of experience teaching science in an international school and as a tutor. A passionate and empathetic educator, she believes every student is unique and capable of achieving their goals. She understands students' challenges and simplifies complex concepts into relatable ideas, making her teaching highly effective. Witnessing her students' growth brings her great joy and fulfillment.

With a degree in Biomedical Science, Meena combines academic expertise with a heart for teaching. She delivers lively, interactive lessons while building strong connections that empower her students. Meena firmly believes that when science is made relevant to real life, students understand the concepts more deeply and retain them better. Her mission is to share her love for science in a way that’s fun, relatable, and easy to grasp.
David Tan
David Tan
David's approach to his students is simply that the best is yet to be. A Chemistry graduate of Imperial College, he once struggled with the subject in Secondary Three before unlocking the techniques to ace it. Since he was 15, he has been imparting his evergreen passion for Chemistry to a diverse range of students across Singapore. David intimately understands why students struggle with Chemistry and how to build their foundation through patient and relentless coaching. He prioritizes understanding and application as vital criteria for success. Above all, he believes everyone should simply enjoy life, laugh, and never give up on their goals, whatever they may be.

An NUS Statistics graduate, Jin Xuan pairs a deep analytical background with a genuine passion for mathematics. He believes that mastering math goes beyond rote memorization; it's about building logical-thinking skills. He is dedicated to equipping students with both the practical exam techniques needed to excel today, and the foundational concepts they will need for their future academic pursuits. Outside of work, he loves spending his holidays exploring Japan!
Ho Hui Ni

Hui Ni is a thoughtful and caring teacher who believes that good teaching begins with understanding the student in front of her. A first-class honours graduate, she brings strong subject knowledge to the classroom, together with careful preparation and a genuine interest in how students learn. Her lessons are purposeful and engaging. What has always stood out about Hui Ni, however, is the way she cares for her students. She is patient, attentive and generous with her time. After teaching at Perceptum, Hui Ni went overseas to pursue further studies in education. We are very glad to have her teaching with us again.
Kevin Lee
Kevin Lee
Kevin is the Founder of Perceptum Education. He holds a Bachelor of Science, a Master of Arts in Mathematics Education and a Master of Education, and is a former MOE Mathematics HOD. He has presented at national education conferences and has also served as a PSLE Presiding Examiner. At Perceptum, Kevin remains closely involved in curriculum development and teaching practices. He believes in helping students develop deep mathematical understanding, confidence and independence. His professional interests include mathematics pedagogy and the ways in which mathematics education can be meaningfully situated within local and cultural contexts.
